How to style our skirts to wear now and to take into summer

Block printed skirts have been one of the most requested items from our customers over the last 12 months. Our new Maya maxi skirt feel like a really useful new addition to your wardrobe with so much versatility to dress up and down and to wear now with secret warm layers, knitwear and boots and to wear later with sandals and a simple vest or t shirt.

As ever I love the idea of shopping your own wardrobe before you start buying more things, so use my suggestions as inspiration. I love this idea of adding deeper khaki and olive tones to keep things a little warmer in tones while temperatures are on the rise. Add a pair of tights or ‘secret’ leggings under our block print maya maxi skirt and your favourite boots. I love the warm texture of suede with the cotton it feels like a perfect pairing.

There is a hint of blue in our print and love how denim friendly this feels. Why not pair with your favourite denim shirt or jacket and a pair of vintage cowboy boots. A splash of coral lips would really pop this soft outfit and add some drama to your look.

As you know we are not afraid of print here at Dilli Grey and when I was designing the collection I really wanted to create a head to toe co-ord in the same block prints. I designed the Nina shirt and Maya skirt to be worn together and for extra maximalist heaven I added the gilet in the same prints with a beautiful border to give extra texture. I cannot wait to wear this look head to toe.

The final look is an ode to summer. I adore a simple ribbed vest with a smarter summer sandal and chic leather trim basket for a classic summer vibe. Just add sunshine and go!
